SIM Agar
SIM agar is used for the detection and enumeration of Clostridium perfringens.
SIM (Sulfite Indole Motility) Agar is used as a confirmation medium for Clostridium perfringens enumeration. It is used after purification, on blood agar or nutrient agar, of presumptive colonies isolated on TSC Agar.
The typical composition responds to that defined in the standard NF EN ISO 15213-2 for the enumeration of Clostridium perfringens in food, feed, environmental samples as well as primary production samples.
