Introducing Salmonella Velox, the world’s fastest certified confirmative method for detecting Salmonella spp. and/or Salmonella Enteritidis/Typhimurium in foods. Salmonella Velox is certified for salmonella testing the following samples: 1) raw meat, poultry and fishery products, 2) ready-to-cook, ready-to-reheat and ready-to-eat meat, poultry and fishery products, 3) swabs performed on raw food samples, 4) environmental and primary production samples.
With a new fast enrichment step, a simple 96 deepwell-based extraction protocol followed by a fast, sensitive and highly specific qPCR reaction, the entire protocol from sample to result can be carried out in just 5 hours and 30 minutes (including enrichment).
Enrichment of Salmonella spp. on 25g to 125g refrigerated raw meat, 25g raw poultry or 25g raw seafood samples is performed in a newly developed 100 mL Salmonella Velox Broth (SVB) for 4 hours 30 minutes. Enrichments are easily handled in Salmonella Velox Bags, between Salmonella Velox Heating Packs. Salmonella Velox provides a time and cost saving system for Salmonella species detection.
