Reveal® 3-D for Coconut offers results in just 5 minutes and can be used in virtually any environment to screen for coconut in liquid products (like UHT beverages, juices, drink flavours, etc.), clean-in-place rinses and environmental surfaces. The Reveal 3-D line of food allergen tests kits is uniquely designed to guard against over-saturation and false negative results, with results displayed in three visual lines on the lateral flow test strip. A control line assures the test is working properly, and two other lines outline non-detectable, low, and high levels of coconut.

The Reveal 3-D format is a single-step lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The extract is wicked through a reagent zone, which con­tains antibodies specific for the target allergen conjugated to colored particles. If allergen is present, it will be captured by the conjugated antibodies. The allergen antibody-particle complex then is wicked onto a membrane which contains a zone of antibody specific for the target allergen. This zone captures the complex allowing the particles to concentrate and form a visible line. If no target allergen is present, no line will form.
