      • Feed Acids

        Organic acids have been used for preservation of feed materials since many years. But since the ban of antibiotic growth promoters as feed additives in the European Union and many other countries organic acids and their blends are irreplaceable in many different applications in feed production.

        Today we can offer organic acid products, their salts as well as blends for various applications:
        • Acidification of piglet feed
        • Acidification of feed for fattening pigs and sows
        • Acidification of poultry feed
        • Salmonella inhibition in raw materials and feed mixtures
        • Acidification of drinking water

        • Mycotoxin Inhibition

          Today hundreds of different mycotoxins have been identified. New analytical technologies allow tracing them even in lowest levels in feed and feed raw materials. Even when the last secrets have not been revealed and scientists collect permanently new knowledge we have learned that numerous problem areas in animal production originate from the presence of mycotoxins.
          With the awareness about mycotoxins different strategies were developed to eliminate or at least reduce the harmful effects. Our concept of mycotoxin inhibition is a combination of different powerful strategies to minimize the risk of mycotoxicosis.

          • Pellet Performance Enhancers

            Poor pellet quality is an often underestimated reason for commercial losses in feed production or animal performance. Optimizing production means in this respect also optimizing pellet quality.
            Lignosulfonates have played a main role as pellet binder to improve pellet quality since pellet technology found its way into the feed industry. But today we know that they can do much more than simply improving pellet stability as other binders do. This is why the new term ‘Pellet Performance Enhancer (PPE) was introduced.

            • Increase pelleting capacity
            • Extend life span of pelleting equipment
            • Reduce sparepart and maintenance costs

            • Prebiotics

              Prebiotics in feed, drinking water or calf milk replacers provide nutrients to the beneficial intestinal microflora in monogastric animals or to the rumen microflora in ruminants. Thus they help to achieve indirectly various effects for optimizing animal production. Such effects are:
              • Stimulation of growth of beneficial microorganisms and consequently optimizing the microbial balance
              • Active binding of undesirable bacteria in the gut
              • Stimulation of the immune system
              • Acceleration of ruminal fermentation in dairy cows to increase milk production

              • Rumen Conditioner

                High yielding cows require concentrated feed rations in order to allow milk yields which exploit the genetic potential of the animal. Those concentrated diets include high portions of grain starch.
                The risk of acidosis or subclinical acidosis is a logical consequence which is counteracted with additions of sodium bicarbonate or magnesium oxide. These minerals are able to buffer quickly excess acids in the rumen due to its good solubility. But as quick as the effect appears as quick it disappears.
                The concept of a Rumen Conditioner based on natural minerals from sea algae provides a unique long lasting effect due to the crystalline structure of the sea weed skeleton. This reduces the period in which the rumen pH remains in a ‘acidotic’ area to a minimum. pH fluctuations are reduced and volatile fatty acid production is optimized. The optimum balance between propionic, acetic and butyric acid guarantee the basis of best performance in milk production.
